PlotEdit

Kazuma Azume is a passionate baker boy whose only goal is to bake "Ja-pan", the national bread of Japan (hence the pun and double meaning). Ever since his sister argued with their stubborn grandfather to change the breakfast menu, an unconvinced 6-year old Kazuma was dragged along his will to their town's local bread store to show him the wonders of fresh-baked bread. Not only is Kazuma converted, but the owner discovers that Kazuma has the magical "Solar Hands" whose warmth makes them particularly suited to making bread. The owner packs up shop and goes to Tokyo to fulfill his dream of making "Ja-pan", but Kazuma continues to follow that dream as well, and ends up going to Tokyo himself. After becoming sixteen, Kazuma strives to achieve his dream by competing for a spot at the foremost bakery-chain in Japan - Pantasia!
