Penguin Musume (ペンギン娘, Pengin Musume), translated as Penguin Girl is a Japanese manga series, written by Tetsuya Takahashi. The manga was initially serialized in the Japanese shōnen manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Champion between 2006 and 2007, until it restarted from Champion Red magazine in February 2008 with the Penguin Musume Max title.
The ONA adaptation entitled Penguin Musume Heart (ペンギン娘♥はぁと Pengin Musume ♥ Hāto) is available for streaming on Nico Nico Douga between April 19, 2008 and November 25, 2008.
Plot[]
The story follows Sakura Nankyoku (nicknamed 'Penguin') a total otaku. Joined by her friends Kujira Etorofu and Nene Kurio, their daily lives are often corrupted by either Penguin herself, her economic rival Mary Whitebear, or other people who have interest in the Nankyoku family.
Sakura gets elected as her class' student council president due to a fluke. From here on, her everyday life goes into a series of crazy misadventures revolving around herself, family, and classmates.
