Needless (ニードレス, Nīdoresu, stylized NEEDLESS in Japan) is an action/comedy/science fiction manga and anime series by Kami Imai. Serialized in Shueisha's seinen magazine Ultra Jump beginning in 2004, an anime adaptation by Madhouse began airing on July 2, 2009.
Plot[]
This anime is set in year 2130, 50 years after World War Three (the exact date is not made clear). The war has left a crater where Tokyo once stood, a place filled with contaminated rubble. This spot has no electrical power, and because of this, the crater shows as a black spot in the night sky. The Black Spot is a place where outcasts come to live, and because of the contamination, certain of these outcasts gain various powers (or "fragments"). Those with powers become known as Needless.
