Miniskirt Uchū Kaizoku (ミニスカ宇宙海賊, Minisuka Uchū Kaizoku, lit. "Miniskirt Space Pirates") is a Japanese light novel series written by Yūichi Sasamoto, which began publication from Asahi Shimbun from October 2008. An anime television series adaptation produced by Satelight, under the title Bodacious Space Pirates (モーレツ宇宙海賊, Mōretsu Pairētsu), will begin airing in Japan from January 7, 2012.
Plot
Marika Kato is a high school girl living a rather ordinary life, until she learns that her recently deceased father was a space pirate and, according to the rules, must inherit his place as captain of the spaceship Bentenmaru.
