Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid (小林さんちのメイドラゴン, Kobayashi-san Chi no Meidoragon) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Cool-kyou Shinja. The series began serialization in Futabasha's Monthly Action seinen magazine[1] in May 2013, and is licensed in North America by Seven Seas Entertainment. A spin-off manga by Mitsuhiro Kimura began serialization in Monthly Action in December 2016. An anime television series produced by Kyoto Animation aired in Japan for 13 episodes from January 12, 2017 to April 6, 2017. A series of shorts (1 minute episodes) was released April 4, 2021.[2] A second season called Miss Kobayashi's Maid Dragon S (Miss Kobayashi's Maid Dragon Super Supreme Second life Starts) was announced to be in production [3] with a release date later revealed to be July 2021.[4]
Plot[]
One morning, as office worker Kobayashi gets ready for another day at work, she is greeted by a terrifying sight—the head of a large dragon staring into her eyes from across the balcony. The dragon immediately transforms into a cute, busty and energetic young girl in a maid outfit, who introduces herself as Tohru.
Notes[]
- Since the dragons are said to come from the "Other World", this series is technically a reverse-Isekai.
