K is an 2012 anime series animated by the studio GoHands and directed by Shingo Suzuki, who also serves as character designer for the series. It will be broadcast on MBS, TBS, and CBC in Japan on October 4 ,2012. Animax Asia will also broadcast at the same time. A manga prequel called K: Memory of Red, drawn by Yui Kuroe has been serialized in Kodansha's Aria since May 28, 2012. The anime has been licensed by Viz Media in North America, who will also stream the series on VizAnime video site.
Plot

Setting on stage of modern Japan which walked the history that is delicately different from the reality, are the 7 Kings who are at feud with each other, and the fate of a boy who gets drawn into battles of strange abilities.
"Red King" Suoh Mikoto who is leading HOMRA, and "Blue King" Munakata Reisi who is leading Scepter 4 are both chasing after a suspect of a certain case, Isana Yashiro, who has to face them one round after another.
However, Yashiro who is not guilty in the case, will run about this way and that way from both groups without knowing anything. And then appearing before Yashiro is a long-haired boy wearing black, Yatogami Kuroh.
