Element Hunters (エレメントハンター, Eremento Hantā) is a Japanese-Korean anime series that began airing in both regions as a science-fiction adventure to generate more awareness in chemistry and other sciences. The anime aired for 39 episodes from July 4, 2009 to March 27, 2010.

A manga series began at the same time, and still in serialization even after the anime ended. A game adaptation released by Bandai Namco for Nintendo DS was released on October 22, 2009 in Japan, and December 18, 2009 in South Korea.

Plot[]

In the year 2029, oxygen, carbon, gold, molybdenum, cobalt and all the other chemical elements were continually disappearing from Earth. These disappearing elements ultimately disrupted the environment and led to the destruction of various homes, cities, and even entire countries. Researchers discovered that the vanishing elements drained into a planet called Nega Earth, located in another dimension. To save Earth against the rapid element dematerialization, the space colony government formed the Element Hunters, teams of hand-picked three special pre-teens sent on missions to Nega-Earth, and battle monsters called Q-EXes and retrieve the lost elements.

However, out of their own concerns, Ren, Chiara, and Homi, three average middle school students from Earth, banded together to also become Element Hunters with the help of Professor Aimee Carr and Juno.
